How do I tell people that this video of the tf2 engineer singing a Lady Gaga song that blew my little 12 year old brain away back in 2015 is what got me into drawing?

I'm kind of stuck at a creative dead end atm bc my insecurities about shading are occupying my mind far more frequently than they should atm. I wonder if anyone could give me advice on how to use proper shading so that I can start improving again and hopefully land an art piece on the featured section someday. I am willing to accept all feedback no matter how harsh it may be. (It's ok I can take it.) :]
